The facility is used to temporarily house people arrested in the northern part of the state before transporting them
to the Flagstaff Jail.

People arrested in the
Northern part of Coconino County will be held temporarily in the Page Jail, this includes the following towns and communities:
Page, Lake Powell, Big Springs, Bitter Springs, Fredonia,
Jacob Lake, Marble Canyon and along Highway 89 North of Tuba City.
Those arrested on the Navajo or Hopi Reservation will be subject to Tribal courts, laws
and Reservation jails.
